ARTIST STATEMENT

I allow inspiration to present itself as I observe the world. Using my camera, I visually inhale the inspired image and, at the same time, absorb it into my being. It then simmers for a while, sometimes minutes and other times days, but every time, the purest visions “become”; these are the ones I am compelled to transform into Photo-Print-Tile-Paintingz (P.P.T.Pz). By maximizing my exposure to and surrounding myself with extremely positive energy, my creations reflect the same powerful energy. - GETBIZI Technical Statement Combining 20 years of photography with bright colored acrylic paint on canvas, I created a new way to present my images which I call "Photo-Print-Tile-Paintingz' or "P.P.T.Pz". This involves digital deconstruction of one of my images for printing and then physically reconstructing it on a canvas painted with a bright color which complements the overall image. Each digital piece is binary coded so that during physical reconstruction of the piece, I know exactly which panel and position the print is to be placed. I allow parts of the processing 'to be'; relinquishing some of the control to different elements of the process so that each final piece becomes one-of-a-kind. And finally, for authenticity, every piece is embedded with a DNA signature so that future Art Historians (through advanced forensics) can trace the work back to me as the original creator. DEFINITION The name, GETBIZI, is derived from the scientific word GETBIZICOUS, which means extremely fast moving, intensely positive & highly creative energy, which is impossible to contain.

PROMOTER STATEMENT

As a promoter, I will leverage my ability to identify the purest creative energies to design exhibits that spark dialogue, inspire thought & challenge conventional ways of thinking. I set out to present creative concepts and develop exhibits that are locally relevant today, and will be historically meaningful tomorrow. My goal is to help catalyze the careers of artists who have developed their creative voice and are ready to step on the art-world's "stage".
